I was wondering if anyone has tried garlic supplements to put in the horse's feed to use as a fly repellent and does it work?

The Apple Cider Vinegar probably would be cheaper than the garlic supplement you can buy for horses. I'll have to check into it.

Yes it is much cheaper and you can buy the generic kind and it makes no difference. Now that I think about it my mom used to feed our dogs garlic pills for dogs, we lost both dogs (not from garlic )...

I have fed apple cider vinegar to repel flies. It does seen to work on some flies.I use vinegar mixed with sugar cane juice also oatmeal as a tonic for horses.
